Reputable shops in the area for bolt-on parts

Hi guys! I just moved here from the east coast.

I've done every mod that's on my car myself so far and I've learned a lot in the process. But now that I don't have garage space (street parking ) or many of my tools, I think I'm just going to take my car to a shop for future mods.

As much as I hate to spend money on service hours, especially when I know I can do it myself, it'll be the easiest and fastest way.

So what are some good shops around here that pay meticulous attention to your car and don't charge you a fortune? A plus if they specialize in the twins. I currently live inside SF, but I don't mind travelling around the bay area.

Some near-future mods I plan to get installed are:
- nameless frontpipe/overpipe combo
- mtec shift springs
- swift sports lowering springs
- front lip/side skirt/rear spats

Thanks!

Based on your mod list, I'd recommend Neal @The Racers Line He's an active member of the forum and I've gotten pretty good rates on every quote I got from him. Some of his work and feedback here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85776

PS Neal, I'm expecting a huge discount for the next time I come in for some work ;)

There is only one person I take my car to and that is Neal Wiebmer @ the racers line. He is on the forum. Good honest mechanic a lot of us go to him.

For the past few installs I have dealt exclusively with SpeedElement in San Jose who have been outstanding. Competitive pricing, quick installs and good customer service. Hell they even kept the shop open late when I couldn't make it back to pick up my car on time.

To date I have had a header install, springs+wheel/tire+alignment, oil change + track alignment and I even bought my OFT used from them.

Great place if you are in the area.

Considering you like to do work yourself, there's a DIY shop in Santa Clara called Pit Row. They charge $30/hr to rent a lift and they provide pretty much everything you'll need to turn your "TO DO" list to a "TO DOne" list!.

I've used this shop many times in the past with no complaints --Link below!

If you're ever in Mountain View, I highly recommend AutoHQ. Ask for Kevin, he's an amazing mechanic with a ton of experience with Subies.

For alignments, I highly recommend Auto Innovations in Milpitas. They specialize in all things suspension and will tune everything to your needs.
