Catless resonated front pipe legal
 

If I run a Catless resonated front pipe in SoCal with stock catback, will I get in trouble with it? And when it comes to smog check will it pass? And would people behind me be able to smell the difference? Sorry if the questions are redundant

You wont get in trouble unless they look underneath your car and It would just amplify the ugly sound of stock muffler. About the smog, assuming your frs is 2014, you dont have to worry about it for another 5 years.

Really up to the cop that pulls you over I guess? I see you're in Irvine as well; we're notorious for cops pulling you over for no reason. But with that said...I've been running mine for a month now WITH an Ark System so definitely louder than stock. No problems yet *knock on wood*.

The smell was pretty bad the first week but after that it's been okay.

You won't pass smog.

You will be ok As long as the police don't send you to state referee to check.

I finally got pulled over for my muffler delete in irvine, and went back to stock exhaust. I'm looking for just a little growl in the exhaust.

Id say get a TRD exhaust. So you can tell the cops its a dealer option.

Good luck in irvine. I never take my car there anymore. If I do, it has to be close to the freeway or else I'm not driving or taking my other car. I'm super paranoid when I go too haha.

I got pulled over in San Gabriel Valley and ticketed with State REF. He asked me to pop the hood spotted my FT86 Speedfactory headers and probably heard me a mile away with my Tomei Catless Front Pipe. Quick question. I don't want to removed my entire exhaust system and have State Ref sign off. Can I just pay the bail amount and call it a day?

Not when you get Ref'd. You are required to go.
