3rd gear feedback?
 

Hello,

I'll be bringing in my BRZ with 2400 miles to service soon although I'd like to get a 2nd opinion before they tell me it's normal. I have a 6 spd and very occasionally when I throw the car in 3rd gear, there will be a fairly strong feedback that feels almost as if I tried to let the clutch out with the gear only halfway in. The car doesn't make any noise but the shifter rattles fairly violently. It is going into gear still although I can't really replicate the issue in case they can't diagnose it, any opinions? Thanks.

Well, if you can't replicate the whatever your feeling, I doubt the folks at the dealership will notice it.

Instead of "throwing" the car into third gear try "pushing" it into gear. Not trying to be cute, what I mean is to firmly and slowly push the shifter into third gear. It's not a toggle switch .....:)

It could be that the transmission is still breaking in and it will outgrow that stuffness thing.
