Header to make gains / improve torque with SC?
Hey guys, short and sweet - I have an HKS V2 SC kit installed with a 43mm restrictor and am tuned on E10 94 Octane.
I am making 248whp right now and still have that dip down low. My question is - has anyone had better luck with one header vs another for forced induction? Mostly looking for power under the curve, torque curve results and the closest to OEM fit. |
Do you have a dyno of your setup? I've got a C30 rotrex, with a JDL UEL with no dip.
Give me a few and I'll dig up my dyno sheet. |

According to the dyno sheet from the guy that previously had my HKS S/ C w/ header, the torque rise was very linear, no discernible dip. I'll post my dyno after the 18th.

So has anybody experience which header is the best for an supercharged car?
I´m driving an 2016 BRZ with an HKS Supercharger V3 Kit. Unfortunatly my first engine got destroyed by an catted JDL UEL Header(Catalyzer melted togehter and blocked the exhaust) only 15km after installation. Due the emission laws here in Germany I can´t drive a catless UEL Header. Right now I´m using a modified OEM Header with an 100 Cell HJS Catalyzer but I´m still looking for a durable catted UEL Header. |
You could be cheeky and run a 17+ decatted OEM header. They flow good and will look stock to a visual inspection.

I had a hks uel header with my hks v2 supercharger
When I switcher over to a ACE 350 header I was able to run at least 0.4 leaner and gained almost 2 degrees of ignition timing without knocking, and the torque dip that was present with hks header was total filled up and you could feel the car pulling a lot stronger around 4k rpm I vote for Ace header |
Or JDL 4-2-1 EL header. Bit cheaper than the ace and works with stock or aftermarket overpipes
