It's too hot, called a police and a fireman!
 

So my car caught on fire today.

I was at my friend's apartment and I get a call from the police saying my car caught on fire in the garage of the apartment complex.
I immediately went downstairs and saw firemen and cops around my car.

Apparently, my car caught on fire from a mechanic leaving rags inside the engine bay when I got my ignition coil replaced.

The firemen pried open my hood and smashed my driver window. 😕

Gonna take it to the mechanic to get an estimate tomorrow and hopefully it didn't do too much damage.
Just glad that I wasn't in the car when this happened. Who knows how bad it could've gotten if it wasn't put out away right away.

dafuq... that looks like arson. The mechanic leave his weed and gas in there?

Sigh...I be raging n pissy....Hope the mechanic will pay for the damages or his insurance will cover it.

Id be curious if they can fix it....seems like an electrical nightmare. I'm guessing totaled?

Hard to tell if much actual damage. May have just been smoldering. Will be finding fire extinguisher medium in the damndest spots for a while though.

Sucks about your car. You said your car was in the garage when it caught fire. Wondering if there was any damage to the structure or other adjacent cars. I'm sure your insurance will sort things out. Good luck with your car.

Was it a Toyota dealership?

Hopefully a shop of some kind at least and not a backyard mechanic. Negligent and unprofessional regardless.
