Fine Line Tuning Rocket Bunny V2 Bumper Replica
6 Attachment(s)
Who has bought this and what's your opinion on it? Yes, I'm sure the real deal fits better but the thought of saving a few hundred would be nice (the greddy one needs work too usually so it doesn't really help to buy it from them either). Basically I'm not looking for a lecture but I know they have sold some.

The fact that they bothered to half ass replicate the LED DRL holes, but not actually make them holes makes this bumper look stupid. [I am wrong here FYI, even the greddy kit needs the holes cut out I guess)
You are not "saving money" by going with this if you want to look like you have a RB front end. As this is CLEARLY a knock off and everyone will know and if you ever wanted the LED's you would be out hundreds to make it even happen Update: My apologies, I guess the holes are not pre-drilled (I always see them cut out, LED's or not) |

I don't think I'd support these guys. All they do is make fiberglass replicas of RB kits. It's not like RB charges dealer markup, so it's not like going with a BaysonR diffuser over an OEM one. |
Is drilling the holes really that much of a big deal? You have to drill 40 holes for the flares for the RB kit. I guess something that minor doesn't bother me.

However something seems to be bothering you about it because otherwise you wouldn't have asked the forums about it. You're asking us if we've bought it, but so far none of us would. I'd much rather take FRP over Fiberglass for something as large and prominent as the bumper. You also state that while the OEM kit needs "work" so it's not worth buying from them, you're convinced this one won't fit "as well". If you want it, buy it. If it's a budget thing this is your best option, so you're going to have to make it work regardless of what we say. |
I asked who has bought it and what was your opinion on it, not who would buy this. I'm not really "bothered" by the bumper, its just a product and i was interested to hear about its fitment, etc.
I hear you on the FRP and fiberglass argument, however they both crack and will never be as flexible as urethane or abs plastic. |

yeah they're closed on the rocketbunny kit, you have to cut them and pay extra for the led's, im not supporting them just clearing things up. |
ive done a v2 kit. the led holes are not pre drilled from greddy. also the fitment sucked. i put about 3 hours into it before i got it where i was happy (as happy as i could be anyway)

my boy @86_dion has a V2 bumper...not sure if it is from Greddy or not maybe he can chime in.
|
I think his is a legit greddy however.

It's not worth it to get a knock off since the one from greddy already has some minor adjustments necessary to make it work with oem body. Can't imagine the problems you'll run into with a knock off bumper ...

That bumper is really, really ugly. Real part or not, I'd steer clear of it. Also hearing how much work needs to be put into getting the real parts to fit, definitely a pass for me.
