Push button start

Out of curiosity, has anyone installed anything like this?

I only ask because the key is perilously close to my right knee even with the seat all the way back. Yes, I have extremely long legs.

I haven't seen anything done like this on the FR-S/BRZ but it'd be cool to replace the cheesy dawg logo with an 86 logo. Thanks for sharing!

Not for that price!

I'm doing one in a couple of weeks. I'm using the unit from Advanced Keys, not the Bull Dog one. It should be pretty straight forward. However, I have yet to FIND the wiring information, so I'll probably spend a day figuring that out first.

The one from Advanced Key seems to be more popular (I remember hearing about it last year randomly from someone that did it on a different car with good results):

I had it in my last car (also a Toyota) and I loved it. I didn't use the transponder module (even though I paid for it). Instead, I connected it to my Viper 2-way remote start.

My only gripe with the Advanced Keys unit is that you need to push and hold the button for 3 seconds to turn the car off. Talking to Advanced Keys, they said this is for liability since their unit doesn't sense vehicle speed. I guess I'll just need to deal with it.
