Rear shock blown, need opinions with Swift springs

I just got the car about 3 weeks ago and put the Swift BRZ springs on the 21st. I took a trip to Shreveport and the roads were pretty bad. Anyways i noticed a clunking from the left rear and after inspection it looks like its blown out. May have been installer error but needs replaced either way. Here are my options:

Option 1: Pull them all out and get ST coilovers and sell Swift springs

Option 2: Replace rear shocks for now, replace fronts in a month or two when i can save up a few extra bucks.

If i go with Option 2 should i go with Koni, Bilstein HD or Bilstein Sport?
The car won't see the track, just my daily driver and would prefer a better ride and longevity over full track performance characteristics.

It's a 2013 FRS by the way with 23k miles on it. Tires are 235/40R continental DWS 06 and wheels are XXR 550 18x8.75 +36

Thanks,
Joey

I'll sell you my Bilstein HD's for a song. They literally have 2 weeks use on them. They should work well with the swift springs. I was using them with stock springs and it sucked, so I pulled them off and in the garage they've sat ever since.

I run Bilsteins with my Swift Spec R's and I think they're brilliant.

By HD you mean B6 and Sport is B8? B6 is my choice.

I have the B6/HD and love them. You are correct though, B6 =HD

B6 it is, wish i could get the used ones but in a hurry and need them asap so going through tirerack since i have a wholesale account there.

Even with shipping to Australia I found Tirerack to be good value. I love the B6s, I track or drift every 2nd weekend and bang for buck there's nothing close.

Only reason to go Coil-over over just struts would be the threaded bodies and possibly dampening adjustment, depending on which strut you were running. Obviously, plenty of those struts mentioned allow dampening adjustment too. If you need any strut or coil-over input shoot us an e-mail or give us a call. Info@totalautoparts.net (702) 979-1577
