Tein Flex A

Just wondering if anyone has tried the tein flex a's or has any feedback on them?

None that I know of. I was going to buy the Flex A's but decided against them because Tein does not list them as being built in Japan. I went with Flex Z's instead.

Both Z & A are short on supply in Japan now.... So yaaa

I was looking on the tein blog about having two factories and it seemed to suggest they were made in Japan?

They are available over here in the UK it seems.

What I'm not sure of is whether it's worth going for the a's instead of the z's - the tein USA blog suggests the a's advantage comes through with longer dampers like on sedans and mini vans and is less noticeable on shorter units (like ours).

I'd really like to go with the SRC's but fear they are just too pricey :-(

Directly from their site. Pretty much the only difference.

Yeah the hydraulic bump stop is what tempts me as there are terrible roads where I live. The tein USA blog though suggests they don't do so much on a car with short dampers like ours.

I wasn't sure but you may be correct. Id imagine they would be the same as the flex z or if not better. Flex a is also rebuildable too

Think I might bite the bullet and give some of these a go. Even if the hydraulic bump stop doesn't do as much on our cars every little must help!

Received these today and they are being installed tomorrow. I can confirm they are made in Japan:-
