8ighty6 -- WRB BRZ

After several months of hunting, I finally picked up a BRZ from a private seller near Morristown, NJ. Just a few minutes after driving it away, the owner called me in shock...a large piece of sheetrock fell in the garage right where the BRZ had been parked for months! :O That was the second confirmation that the car was meant for me, the first being when I took it through the first corner.

About the car (upon purchase):
2014 WRB BRZ Limited
6-speed manual transmission
7k Miles
Bone stock

Pic from the day I picked it up:

First mod. Hot wheels leading the way! :party0030: I still collect....no judging. Stripped the paint, sharpied, and then glued the AE86 to a gift card cut to fit the little tray next to the push start button. Can't forget your roots!

Got Torque running through Bluetooth OBDII. Ginormous Oneplus One mounted on Dash Crab Duet suctioned to the pointless tiny front window that now has a use!

Best time of the year!

Edit: @D_Thissen just realized the temp in the pic.....now I feel like an idiot. Haha great coincidence, though!

Complete exterior detail at Magic Mike's Garage in Maryland using Meguiar's Clay Bar, D300 Microfiber Correction Compound, Ultra Finishing Polish M205 and Surf City Garage Spray Wax.

Pretty much finished with most of the minor cosmetic mods. Will be posting pictures of them individually throughout the rest of the week. Really frustrated with the paint right now. So many new chips have been unveiled after the detail. The hood looks like it has been attacked by angry midget leprechauns with tiny pitchforks. :hitcomputer:

Clear/smoked side markers. Will be keeping an eye out for condensation. Thanks to @fteightysix for the great customer service.

G1W-C dash cam install.

Pretty obvious from the outside. I would like to think it serves as a deterrent.

@clfan Here's the install:

Positioned the suction cup pretty much as high as I could on the glass and just a tad to the right, enough to clear the mirror. I'm about 6ft and don't see the cam at all while in the driver's seat. Push the wire through the lining and follow it through to the passenger side and down.

Keep following the lining, and with the passenger door open, keep tucking in the wiring as it eventually leads you down, underneath the glove compartment. Feed the adapter through one of the spaces underneath and tie together the extra wiring tightly using a twist tie or something. Plug it in, tuck the extra wiring behind the glove compartment, and enjoy! Tie the extra wiring well enough so it doesn't come loose and jam the glove compartment when you open it. You should never see or notice any of the wiring again!

lol the Infiniti.

Love cam. Wish my GoPro had better wide angle coverage. It's like 150 degree.

Haha the Infiniti is a buddy of mine. Told him to floor it at the light. Made for a more interesting example video :D

I assumed the GoPro had wide angle coverage because of the fisheye lens. Do you currently use it as a dash cam?

Yes sir!

It's bit cr@ppy at night and when I drive, it needs to be in mid of windshield for best drive point of view, but leaned towards passenger side to get best view. I like it because it does the job but the POV is less than yours.

Ah I see. For a $50 set it and forget it solution, the G1 has done well enough for me. :burnrubber:
