OFH wait time

Anyone else having to deal with ridiculous wait time for a OFH? I've orderd my header a while back and was told I was 18 on the list and that the last shipment would have enough for me. They told me that they got the shipment last week but now I'm order number 8 And have to wait till the next shipment again. If I knew I had to wait this long I probably would have just orderd borla. Is anyone else having issues? I hope it's true that good things are worth waiting for

Bergen23 05-24-2015 08:25 PM

I had about a month wait for mine. Honestly, if it wasn't the best "bang for the buck" I'd have gone with another header.

Edit: I ended up selling mine off though, and apart from the noise, I don't notice much of a difference between it and the stock header.

ThreeEyedCrow 05-24-2015 09:51 PM

I ordered mine on the 12th this month. Don't have any clue when it'll be in. Not too concerned at the moment cause I'm waiting for my Nameless op/dp anyway.

raven1231 05-24-2015 09:53 PM

I thought they were supposed to be getting enough to have them in stock all the time and that's why the price went up?

Haven't heard that but if that's what they are doing they haven't done it yet

It happened awhile back. Price already went up.

What didn't you like about the header? I've waited a month now and it still hasn't shipped

Hell I waited 3 months for my JDL on the initial group buy... but I understand if you're told a date and not adhering to it would make anyone frustrated.

Oh, you mean the OFT tune that was designed for it?

So you're telling me they designed the tune that way? Cool.

Either way, for me it didn't seem like a massive improvement. The torque dip was smaller, but not worth the 1300 or so it cost me.

Flat_4_Life 06-02-2015 08:54 AM

Orderd mine just over a month ago and still hasn't even shipped. If it doesn't ship this week I'm getting my money back and picking up the CNT UEL. Open flash hasn't offerd me good customer service either. I ask them a question and it takes more then a day to answer and they never really answers question.

Doesn't surprise me. I had a problem with my tablet, and some time during the email conversation, they just stopped replying and I heard nothing back from them again and never got my problem resolved.

That's exactly how it's going with the headers! And I also keep asking them when they'll do a update so the 2015 FRS can get launch control and they keep telling me they're going to be working on, and that kinda tells me they aren't at all.

They just launched support for the Abarth, so I imagine their tuning focus has been on that recently.

Yeah, think they have moved onto other platforms. Likely has a lot to do with why we still haven't seen the oft350. I know they are working on sport bikes, fiats, r8, and a few other automobiles.

Flat_4_Life 06-02-2015 06:20 PM

So I guess all of those projects will go down hill cause if they can't keep up with 86 I don't know how they expect to support all these others.

i'm telling you that what you got wasn't a custom tune, its just a rom, that may or may not work with your car and mods, in essence, it could be a bit better, a bit worse or just the same as the stock oem tune. if you want to get results, you need to get a custom tune.

oh and ditch the OFH, that thing is no better than a borla header. if you want something good get the tomei uel, jdl uel or if you prefer el look for nameless and hks.

ThreeEyedCrow 06-03-2015 02:26 PM

I just called them yesterday. I ordered around the beginning of May. They said I am 12th on the list of 17 headers that should be in in a couple of weeks.

What?! I'm told that I'm order 18 and I'll have a header from the shipment that they are supposedly reciveing this week. I asked them if they don't ship me one this week if I could get my $ back and go figure, no answer.

I wouldn't answer that either. You are threatening to cancel if it doesn't ship exactly when they say. If you don't want the product because it isn't shipping when you want cancel the order. You either accept the conditions of the sale or go somewhere else and wait.

So they can **** me around however much they like? They've given me 3 or more different answers and they're all lies so I just called and canceled.

Rapiddan45 06-03-2015 06:18 PM

OP luckily you didn't order when they came out, many of us waited up to 6 months to get them. For the money I have no regrets at all of going with them. Have been a great company and plenty of support. Hopefully your new borla treats you better.

That's it! Businesses have learned the best way to make sales is to knowingly lie to the customer and not send them the product.

Definitely couldn't be a supply issue, because we know everything in life is perfect and always happens according to plan.

Be sure to turn on your sarcasm indicator. I sometimes try to look at it from the vendor's perspective. You have a limited supply coming in that you have little control on the dates other than you know when it shipped from offshore and will get notification when it hits customs. Any delays in the time are unforeseen but your customer wants exact prediction of when it will be in their hands. You give them the an optimistic estimate because giving worst case would freak them out. Now multiply this by the number of customers you have when things start going bad and you have 100s of emails demanding delivery or they will cancel. You have no real control so you are stuck between a unforgiving shipper or customs and a customer with unrealistic expectation of what you actually have control of.

raven1231 06-04-2015 10:55 AM

I'm still really confused because the price increase that happened awhile ago was supposed to be due to "us having a supply of headers on hand so people don't have to wait for shipping"....Doesn't seem like that turned out.

That was my point. I promise any vendor isn't trying to intentionally miss ship dates, upset their customers, etc.

efactor84 06-04-2015 12:15 PM

You know what I said, when I thought about order these headers the other day? I said f*** it, I'm doing it anyways. Patience is a virtue and these are worth the wait.

I didn't ask for a exact time of delivery but they kept saying next week. Not maybe 3-4 or whatever. I didn't like the customer service as it took days to answer a simple question and they would always beat around the bush with the answer. It got old quick so I decided to waste my money elsewhere.

For me I had multiple headers on the list and I just went with the OFH originally so I could match it with the tablet. I wasn't interested in waiting months for something I can get in a week or two. There's not a lot of difference in headers other then sound and build quality in my opinion.

Loetke 06-06-2015 11:34 PM

I just ordered my OFT+OFH combo a few days ago. I emailed them yesterday to ask what the wait time would be and they responded almost immediately. The very honestly said they they had just shipped out the last they had in stock and were expecting more in mid week with another shipment coming in the following week, so worst case scenario my stuff will ship in two weeks. I'm going to try to stay optimistic and hope everything works out like they said.

I order my OFH since June 4th and counting.

pandamancer 06-12-2015 12:56 PM

Ordered OFT/OFH combo late on 6/10. I actually called first to check on the availability. Took a few phone calls throughout the day to catch somebody(fair enough, busy I'm sure) but once I did I was able to take some of their time to ask a few questions.

Sounded like both the OFT and OFH are backordered right now, about 1 week and 2-3 weeks respectively. I went ahead and placed an order as I want the flexibility of the OFT and being patient for the headers makes it more of a treat. And, the local shops I called didn't have any uel headers in stock, so at least a week in either case.
