Respray Colour Doesn't Match
My car was in a minor accident that led to the passenger door being repainted (Argento). I don't know if it's my mind playing tricks on me or if I'm just very OCD, but when i look at that side in the sun the paint blends perfectly, but if I look at it from an angle without sunlight hitting it, the rear portion of the car looks darker than the door which seems lighter. What do I do in this situation?

have the shop repaint it
|
Clay then clean your whole car first and see if there's a difference.

This is typical of metallics and siver. The "flop" of the metallic is a pain to get right so it matches correctly.
Need a better painter that's OCD about it. |
Pictures would be great man

now you know not to go back to that body shop in the future
i was so scared when i put my car into the body shop, i went to a close friend, who ensured me he wouldnt let me car leave the shop if the color didnt match, metallic paints can be very difficult to match |
Ask somebody that doesn't know what was painted to look the car over and tell you what was done. If they can't then your brain is messing with you and no number of repaint will ever convince it that the paint is ok. If they can tell then obviously the problem is real and you should take it back.

For anyone else who has had to get a respray on a panel of a car will the paint ever match perfectly or will I be stuck on this carousel forever?
