What's up with this exhaust??
So I see this exhaust style a lot lately with the blue colored tips. I know nearly nothing about cars..is this supposed to be showing that the air coming out is so hot that the tips got discolored by heat or something?

No, that's what happens when you heat up titanium with a torch, or anodize it with electricity. The tips are anodized in this case for the Invidia N1, not burnt with a torch. Invidia will tell you not to use a torch on their tips since it's chemically done. "Just the tip" is titanium, the rest of the exhaust is SS. |

To replicate titanum exhausts. They change color through oxidation - constant use in the case of cars.
Titanium exhausts are the unobtainium of exhaust parts. The most expensive exhausts tend to be titanium. Hence why we replicate it with cheaper exhaust parts, to give that expensive "cool" look. http://www.speedhunters.com/wp-conte...10/03/SH20.jpg |
Tomei is all titanium, right? That would be cool if they weren't loud as hell.
