I just mine and they look great. They are OEM Subaru and come with the bolts and everything.
I bought mine from eBay and the seller is japan-parts "yes the same company". The guys name is Yoko and I bought them Monday and they shipped Tuesday and I received them Friday. Don't know how but I did. Straight from Japan. He just started there eBay account and I was the first to leave feedback. I don't have any complaints and it decently make the car look that much better. Will shoot some photos of them tomm. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |
Mine are holding up great. I made a slight adjustment to set them as far back as possible (and to tighten them on a bit more), and they look awesome IMO.

Do I have the correct part number up above? I have to do something, as I can not stand looking at the stock crap anymore. I almost bought some some DC tips from Advance Auto today, but I would much rather have the same ones that the GT86 have. You know - Keeping it real. :party0030: Just want to make sure I order the... I mean Santa brings the real deal. |

I ordered my tips from japanparts on 12/23 and they arrived 12/29 in NY which was pretty amazing. Just installed them this morning
|
FYI, if you don't want to do the Japanparts web site thing, I emailed the guy from ebay and he listed them for me which I gladly ordered. Not sure how he does it, but it took 3-4 days to get here - Japan to Ohio! Now for some warmer weather to get them on. lol.
ps looks like he has another set up. Cheers. |

HI, I saw their ebay website mention “Please note that import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charge. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.” How much additional money need to pay more than (119.99+44 USD)? Thanks a lot. |
Does the JDM exhaust tip same as USDM one which only use bolt for hold or has more?
Thanks. |
man, JDM is way overused..
these come stock on all the Aust delivered BRZ's and 86's, so hence they are not a JDM part as they are an export part :p sorry, i just find the whole JDM tag used way to often.. anyway, got some on my old zorst.. didn't really think anyone would be buying them, wonder if it would be worth me selling them to someone over there? |

The JDM come with the same one bolt. Putting mine on tomorrow, and trashing our US crap ones. Shame this is not a purchase option. Oh well, problem fixed. |

I really have no idea, I just ordered them and paid with paypal, got them several days later. Not planning on paying for anything else. |

Nope. If you have a big enough order, they (USA) can charge you further duties/taxes. Me and the others that have had big multiple parts orders have gotten charges down the road. I think one was for 40 something US and another was in the 20's. |

Yes and no. If you buy something small like a shift knob or tips you prolly wouldn't see any extra tax or duty. But if you buy something large like a lip or exhaust you might get smacked.

Finally put the tips on, they are sweet looking. This has to be the simplest thing to mod. My wife saw me getting out tools and started to panic - my track record is not very good with home/car improvements as I usually find some way to mess things up. lol
Anyway this took all but 10 mins. All it takes is a 10mm socket and maybe some WD40 to loosen the existing screw. Pull off the tip then push the new on all the way on and straighten then tighten the screw - Job done. (and I didn't break, chip, scratch, bend anything - woot!) |

respectively? I just want to roughly calculate the percentage. Thanks. |
It wasn't the price as much as the size. I ordered the entire STi kit, under panels, rain guards, etc..
I'd say you can figure a max of 25 for a "normal" order of just the under panels or STi kit. If you are to order JDM tips or shift knob or something else small, you won't get dinged with any extra charges. |
Installed JDM exhaust tips

just got my delivery from Japanparts. that was awful quick it only took me a week to get here Toronto Ontario.
and i love it!! way better than small USDM tip. |
Just got mine in today and slapped em on. Found em on eBay for $164 shipped.
Did anyone else have to push the right side past the little bump stops to get the tips even? I had to tap it on a little further with a rubber mallet because the passenger side was sticking out a great deal further than the drivers side. https://photos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...10079563_n.jpg |
Ordered from Japanparts.com. No pictures because they arrived before my car did lol, took 2 weeks including weekends + 1 holiday from order to arrival. However the post office was on strike for a bit, so that may have had some affect.
Great service from Japanparts.com, will likely order some more goodies from them now that I know they are excellent. |
still waiting on my tips. did you guys have to jack the car up to install or can you slap em on while the car is on the ground?

What is the overall length of the JDM tip? It has been asked by others several times but never answered in this thread.

Very nice ..but holy moly.. around $200 shipped?! I never knew they costed that much. I always thought they were $50-60. I would buy them if they were <$100.
At that price, I am pretty content with stock weak-lookin dinky usdm ones (less attention from the cops: stealth mode).. if I was willing to spend $200 on just tips, I would just put that money towards a header or tomei exhaust lol. |

but ye, it's still quite expensive for just 'look'. I only got mine because I got a really good deal. I could've gone with an axle back, but now I think about it, I don't have to worry about getting pulled over. |
