If it's popping a fuse, there's a short and it needs to be found.

Talking to the OP now, but yes it is common. I've seen it on 4 cars now. Usually an injector wire gets rubbed through and shorts.

When you took your injector covers off did you put all 3 bolts back in to mount the DI ECU? Seen people leave the bottom one out because it's a pain and then the ecu doesn't ground well enough, car dies.
