OS Giken LSD + 4.8 FD. Do they fit together?
 

I'm about to do full bolt-on NA mods, and want to install 4.8 final drive from Revolution. Will it fit together with OS Giken 1.5 way LSD? If not, what is the highest FD ratio that I can go with?

5.1 FD , Revolution and Auto Factory have it !! BTW , I have 5.1 from auto factory with OEM LSD .


there shouldn't have any issue with the fitment .

How do you like 5.1FD? That is pretty extreme haha. I am worried that my gearing would be too short with lowly 4.8. :D

BTW, I was asking this since Cusco has separate LSDs for 4.8 and 5.1 FD only, which makes me think that there might be clearance issues with larger final drives.

I write the mail to auto factory to confirm fitment before purchase the FD . I guess the reason cusco have LSD special for 5.1 is because the gear ratio being so short , LSD need to active lock at higher rpm .
And I was thinking to do the LSD as the same time , but give up because I like it remain street driving friendly , even the car mostly driving on track /autoX / dirft event .


In the tight parking uphill with tight curve ,driving with the same speed experience some unwant OEM LSD activity , this is the only issue . I learn to keep the rpm low(lower speed) to avoid it .Free way driving will be more noise(higher rpm) , but this is no issue for me either .


I love the 5.1 FD , it is much more fun to drive !!
