Interior LED mod..
Since the interior needs some lights , i decided to get a small dual pack of LED=Amber light strips to compliement the Scion interior dash colors.. so i was going to place these two small ones under the dash and passenger foot areas.
i think this will look nice but trying to see where they heck to plug in. i might look for the lights on the AC panel and tap in there - and see how they would look or maybe the dome light somewhere -- too bad this dum car doesnt have working lights on the doors - - I would love to do that mod also. anyone think of doing that, if so send me some notes - i will poke aroudn this wknd and let u know how it turns out... :) |

I say pass on the amber color. I really hate all the amber in my car. I wish it was a cool blue or red |
The brz limited has working door courtesy lights.
Maybe you can source out the wiring harness and do the diy on them |

true - light red might be fine also - i guess first i gotta figure out where to tap into for the power ---
i really wish the stupid doors had the RED lights on the corners light up -- -that will definitely be a side job... |
That courtesy door light thing bugs me too. I might try the same thing you are but with one of those LED strips that have remote dim, color, and light effects to it. Yeah dumb kinda but only reason being that i have 2 extra packs of them from when i was "spiffying" up my new cubicle at work. Let us know if you find the wire/hook up where it would come on with the door.

I actually like the Amber...lol.. I would LOVE RED lighting on the dash, Radio hvac.. Is there a way to do this without voiding the warranty? is it just bulbs or LED's? How hard would it be to do it and how much do you all think it might cost??

check out our for sale thread listed in my signature if you need LED's for your car

Basically you would just need a housing that fits, I haven't tried the BRZ housing but who knows, it might work, then you'll need the bulb, socket, and + and - wire lead extended to tap into the door trigger wire underneath the dashboard fuse box |
