Has anyone ordered large aero parts (hoods/bumper/bodykits/fenders/spoiler) from Japanparts.com?

Overall was it a good experience? Any customs or unexpected fee's (additional shipping or customs) after the initial website order was placed?

I've ordered quite a few smaller trim pieces and always use their Fedex shipping option when avaliable. I would really like to order some larger parts from them because their pricing is almost $600 cheaper (including shipping) than local vendors stateside which also ship directly from Japan anyways.

Normally with smaller items, they will use EMS shipping so you will not have to worry about Customs Fees and Import Duties.

However, when you start shipping larger items such as bumpers and hoods they will use air freight which tends to be pretty expensive and Customs fees and import duties will be charged to you at a later time once you have almost received your items.

Ordered JDM exhaust tips from them once. It was really well shipped and packaged and it came way ahead of schedule.

I have, bought the JDM underpanels back in late 2013.

The actual transit time was pretty reasonable, but you will definitely get a customs bill because they will use FedEx.

Put aside ~2.5% for duties as they bill you about 30 days after the fact.
