Gas pump issues

Anybody else have problems when filling their car up? The gas pump stops pumping every couple of seconds, so I'm basically pumping in 0.1 gal at a time.

Perhaps the line to the fuel tank is clogged or somehow I just don't know how to pump gas any more. Is there a fix to this?

Try opening the cap first, and then do the payment. Basically give time to let excess vapor escape. I've known a few people with similar issues, including a wrx that would overflow everywhere if not allowed to cool down and let vapor out.

That's happened to me. When i encounter a pump that has that issue, i will pull back the top of the vapor recovery "suction cup" part of the pump as i fill my tank. It sucks cause i can smell the fumes and my hand will smell like gas after.

Your fuel fill hose that goes from the fill hole to the tank has collapsed.

Dealer should fix it under warranty.

Yes. There were a few issues with this in the early 13s. Seems to have been fixed.

If you have a good relationship with the dealer where you bought the car, I'd suggest you take it in and discuss the situation with them. Maybe they will fix it at no charge even though the warranty has expired, since it is obviously a defective part.

At least you can get an estimate of repairs and/or the cost of the part.
