Berk catted front pipe

Is anyone running Berk catted front pipe with the stock exhaust? If so, is there a noticable sound when driving? And will it still pass smog and not smell funky?

It's slightly louder but you'll only notice it when you step on it. No funky smell but don't know if it'll pass smog or not.

On cold starts it has a slightly stronger smell but no difference when at temperature. Not very relevant for your case but I installed mine at the same time as an AVO turbo kit and it actually got quieter.

I've been looking at the Berk front pipe, but I'm hesitant because I live in Commiefornia, and my car is loud enough as it is. I have their over-pipe and fitment is spot on.

Same but I live in Orange county to top it off. And I kinda wantedto do just the front pipe for a little bit of sound, my exhaust is all back to stock now

Are you all back to stock now b/c of trouble with loud exhaust and cops in the OC?

Technically, an aftermarket cat shouldn't pass visual inspection in CA, but a near stock exhaust that passes the sniffer has been overlooked before for me..

I just bought a ft86speedfactory V1 resonated, we'll see if I can keep out of trouble in the OC...

I may be moving back to OC. Every time I drive my car there I'm scared. Yesterday I drove next to a stock 550 that was at least twice as loud as my car, and I just know he never gets hassled. God I hate this state....

Lol true that... I hold my breath in stock cars passing cops here. Rule of thumb for officers is now as follows in especially south orange county:
- North American and European luxury or sports cars over $60k, cops pull you over to talk about your ride and take some pictures. Asks you to do a burnout on your way out.
- Japanese import or American econobox under $40k, go fuck yourself I'm gonna ticket your juvenile delinquent ass for something, I just don't know what yet.
- motorcycles, don't care unless bleeding from the ears

You will not pass a visual in California with any aftermarket front pipe. Will you pass tailpipe/OBD test? Absolutely.

I thought were not due for smog test for a new car after 5 years or something like that?

Late reply on all of this stuff. And yep my exhaust is all back to stock. Too much of a hassle to swap it back on and off. And then storing the stock muffler in the garage.
