Tag Light Issue
What's up everyone?
So last night, my left side license plate light (tag light?) started flickering. My first thought was maybe my LED bulb was burning out, but I don't really think it would flicker if it were burning out, it would just stop working. I tried switching the bulbs (L in R and vice versa) and the left side still flickers. At this point, I am thinking there is a short or something in the wiring. Anyone else have an issue like this? Thanks, J.B. |
I'll guess it is due to a bad ground ......

I have the exact same issue. I figured I just got a bad LED so I haven't tried to switch sides yet.

At this point, I think I also just got a bad LED. Luckily Diode Dynamics has a 1 year warranty on all of there LED's, so hopefully they will send me some new ones. -J.B. |

I actually already did lol. I put in my warranty claim on Sunday, and somebody got back to me with a shipping confirmation for the replacements on Monday morning. I really appreciate the help and great customer support -J.B. |

Just wanted to confirm to anyone else who may have this problem down the road that it was the LED that caused the flickering. I received my replacement bulbs in the mail over the weekend and swapped them in, and they are both working perfectly.
I want to say thanks again to the guys at Diode Dynamics for taking care of me. They shipped me a replacement set of LED's not even a day after I filed a warranty claim and I received them in less than a week. -J.B. |
a lot of times the small wires that are actually making contact with the socket have managed to wiggle into an area with corrosion and that causes them to flicker. I have to adjust mine from time to time to keep it from happening. Good to know i can hit up DiodeDynamics later if they do fail tho :)

Just got mine license plate bulb installed and experiencing the same flickering issue here.
Just on one side; switched around sides yet just one of the bulb flickers time to time. Just ordered new pair and will replace the bulb hoping it's not a short circuit. |
