OFT HIGH Octane Tunes?

Just curious as my local road course (Hallett) carries 100 and 110 octane (Unleaded IIRC)........they will only carry E85 if you buy it 55 gallon barrel at a time.

I was curious if anyone has, or plans to develop a tune for race gas? It would be much easier to show up at the track on empty, fill up the tank, run the high octane until the tank is empty......switch back to the 91 tune.

Obviously if it's leaded race gas that won't work since it will toast the O2 sensors.

There hasn't really been many requests for a race gas tune because E85 tends to work a lot of better since it offers not only high octane but also very good in-cylinder cooling. Also as far as unleaded race gas goes, I don't think anything more than 100oct would be of any use. And even with 100, I'd be surprised if more than 10hp gains (over 93oct tune) were possible.

Fair enough! I didn't figure there would be much demand, but it never hurts to ask.

So far from quick look around it looks as though a barrel of E85 is $350-425.

I always wanted to go to Hallett when I had my old WRX, but never did.

It looks like a really fun course.

It is a fun track. We ran our Evo 8 there back in 2005 during One Lap of America!

Hallett is a blast, you take my R6 there almost 10 years ago, and then my old Miata a few years ago.

Just need to get brake pads and an oil cooler so I can start taking the BRZ out there.

OLOA just came through last week!
