Internet/Phone Service in OR

Hi guys I moved out here from Ohio and I live with my uncle, aunt, and cousins here in Hillsboro for school. I was just wondering what kind of internet/ home phone services do you guys use. My uncles currently with Frontier but the keep over-charging us since the beginning of the year. Our contract will be up the second week of July or so. Any good service providers you guys would recommend? Thanks!

I use Comcast. Phone, internet, and cable all in one.

I live in Eugene so I do not know any of the small companies up near Hillsboro

Comcast or Century link I guess.

I live in Portland, we are happy with our Xfinity/Comcast. Couldn't say anything about the others since I've been using comcast for years.

Comcast or Frontier are your only options in Hillsboro. Comcast sucks imo.

I'm on Frontier FiOS... cheaper than comcast for 4x the speed.

Haven't had any problems with overcharges myself, what have they been slipping onto your bill?

DirecTV and Centurylink (especially if the FTTN is there).

I believe Hillsboro is Centurylink (former Qwest) area. If not, then I 2nd the Frontier comment.

Anything but Comcrap.

Not sure why the comcast hate, we run dual game session with 2 sessions of vent with my wife streaming pandora with no issues. So dunno. LOL I suppose it must vary by area, but it is great in our area.

Xfinity is nice also with being able to watch shows we missed in HD without having to DVR stuff. I do not have their phone service, too expensive, as they all are IMO.

I would go here http://www.dslreports.com/search and search for your area. There you should be able to check out their service speeds and other information in your area.
