So what happened with the e-tune, I'm looking into this after I get my crank pulley, crawford bpb and front pipe installed

Hey man. If you live in Tampa, I have the hookup on dyno tuning for our cars. I got my FRS tuned on a dyno without the need of an additional piggyback like an OFT. I had amazing results. He is offering his services for free to someone that has a lot of performance parts without a tune. He is trying to get a good baseline on whats capable and to see if my results turn out to standard. Let me know if you are interested.

The OFT isn't a piggyback device like let's say Unichip. It's a tiny computer that transfers the tune file to your ECU, then is for the most part, detached.

Yea, daemano is correct OFT is no "additional piggyback" and plugging your "friends" tuning skills doesn't help much. You fail to mention what medium he's using to tune the car, ecutek? His laptop with romraider?

He is using a tractrix cable. For what tuning software exactly, I am not sure. I can get that information for you if you're interested. I would be lying if I said that I was an expert in that area. Lol. I have just been thrilled with my results, so I wanted to spread the word.

Tractix and OFT are very similar. Most likely both are using romraider to actually alter the maps. The hardware is just a method of transferring the tune to the car.

Probably would've gotten the same results with an OFT, if that's the case he's using romraider to edit things....
