Put the joke on the side, OP, answer is up to you. There are several small tweaks on the '16, but realistically speaking, you won't notice much difference.

If they made a turbo version of Subaru's 3.6L flat 6 and dropped it in there with a 6 or more speed auto, I would be very interested.

It would be like a budget Panamera.

Only 3.6L flat 6 they have currently is EZ36... which isn't great engine. I rather keep it EZ30 w FI could be nice... but Budget Panamera is "Legacy" in Subie and "Camry" in Toyota lol

I don't think you could get me to buy that monstrosity at gun point!

I don't know Subaru's engine specifics; I was just looking at the torque and power numbers. It would be interesting to make a larger FA motor, maybe an FA30 or FA35.

The Camry and Legacy are just plain old sedans; not sporty at all. I'm sure they would say "but the WRX!!" But the WRX is chunky; it's not sleek at all.

Yeah, EZ36 is bored out EZ30. Don't get me wrong. EZ36 got hellova a lot more tq than EZ30, but performance wise... let's not go there. lol

FA30~FA35 won't be happening, but using FA engine technology making H6 engine is highly possible

that looks like a 2014 wrx hatch and frs had a baby

Keep in mind the difference in driving characteristics between the 2016 compared to the 2013. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it has been confirmed that the suspension setup of all FR-S/GT86 produced after 2015 are more comparable to the BRZ.

Hi all,

I found a really nice Gt86 from 2013 with hardly any milage on. My plan is to buy it. Or it was untill I read about the 2016 model. Now I cant decide if I should wait or just go ahead and get that super nice86 I have found...

Go ahead and buy it! Now! The summer roads are waiting for you!

The 1st generation GT86 is such a great car, there's only 3 possibilities for the future:
1. They keep making it as it is, with minor adjustments and cosmetics.
2. They ruin it with something obscene (fwd/awd, hybrid, turbo, ugly facelift, more doors) and the 1st generation will be canonized as the classic GT86.
3. They drop the model and it's forever remembered as one of the greatest driver's cars ever made.
In all of these scenarios, buying a nice 2013 GT86 makes you the winner! (And me, since I've got one...)

BTW, where in Sweden are you located?

Ah, Stockholm. Nice city, but too far away to join our tire-kicking meets in southern Norway, I guess.

There's a swedish thread here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8000

I hope you'll enjoy your GT86 as much as I do mine!

-Trevligt att hälsa på. Grattis från en norrbagge.
