Hi all. I've been on subaru-brz-forum for a while, but it seems pretty dead over there, so I figured I would sign on here as well.

I've had my BRZ for about 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it.

I picked mine up from Beyer Subaru in Alexandria on the 30th of May. It's a GBS Limited, Manual Transmission. The only extras that I ordered were the locking wheel lug nuts and the rear underbody spoiler. I finished out my breakin period last weekend on the way back from my inlaws in WV.

Here are a couple pictures of it a few days after I got it:

I'm sooo happy I went with the GBS. Awesome color.

GBS looks great in those pics. Guessing you were #1 at Beyer? I was #3 (technically #2 but got my car 3rd) and picked up my car on Wednesday.

Yup, I was the first one. How did they treat you? I was really happy with my experience. Financing took a little longer than I had thought, especially since I had a preapproved loan from my credit union with me.

They were great, I had my loan from Navy Federal ready to go already so I just had to write them a check for the remained. Didn't have any options on it, VA tax was cheap compared to other states, so my OTD price was $25,911. I've got a feeling that might be one of the cheapest BRZ's in the country.

Yeah, I had to pay MD tax, which was almost 7%, but my Limited was 29 something OTD. Again, one of the cheapest in the country. (For a Limited at least.) I went with Navy Federal as well, but apparantly the Finance department got busy right as I walked in, so I had to wait a while. They had mine parked out front by the doors, so I had to sit there and stare at it longingly while I waited. I think my wife started to get jealous...

I see that a meet is being organized for next weekend down in Richmond. Unfortunately, I'm busy all weekend, plus it's a 3 hour drive.

You know if anyone has tried organizing a DC area meet?

Any recommendations on who to contact at the alexandria dealership?

Yup. I recommend Matt Nemetz

Here is his email:

mnemetz@beyersubaru.com

A word of caution, I know he has a bunch of people on the waiting list, and they aren't supposed to get a whole lot of BRZ's this year. Never hurts to ask though. I also know that you can expect to pay MSRP. The first few of us got a special deal because we committed to buying so early.

Idk, but perhaps we should consider organizing one if no one else does...

Sounds good to me. I was even thinking of maybe contacting one of the local dealers and seeing if they were interested in hosting it.

Where in so.md are you? Im in the huntingtown/prince Frederick area... And a dealer event would be cool, but we could do a restaurant or mall if need be.
