Corsa exhuast + header

anybody running this setup?
can't seem to find any sound clips of this exhaust with either uel/el headers.

I have read that the corsa loses some its charm compared to running the stock header.

Well the corsa alone sounds amazing; adding in a header will definitely changed the sound of the glory it had, the question remains is whether the change is for better or worse. Too bad there isn't much if any video clips or corsa catback paired with headers.

yeah i wish i had more audio samples. There are always all of these exhausts out there and when i try to find varying audio clips i can't get anything.
Like the Zeta Performance catback, sounds pretty good by itself but i want to pair it with a header and i don't know how its going to affect it.

The problem with the Corsa catback is that it's tune to sound good stock. Once you change a major part such as going from the stock header to an UEL, you're changing the sound of the car a lot.

Even changing the mid pipe in this car by deleting the resonator, going catless or going hi flow cat, you're changing the sound of the car.

In truth, when paying for this catback, you're paying for the sound, drone free ride and the name. It's not a cheap catback at around $900ish. I'm starting to think the ARK DTS would be a better choice for me, since that catback sounds good with exhaust changes.

Worst case you don't like, you sell it used and take a hit.

it sounds even more amazing with my JRSC but I am too kinda worried about what it'll sound like with a header.... as i contemplate injectors + flexfuel + header + SD tune. It sucks that audio clips are so rare of this exhaust, I only heard 2 before i decided to buy it. but i guess thats what happens with a brand like this whos main crowd is the muscle crowd.

Well I don't like it with a UEL, sounds like just about every other exhaust.

I'm sure it would still have its "charm" with an EL

I had the Corsa cat back. After supercharging with a Jackson racing unit, I added an Ace Type A with 350 over pipe. I used a JDL ultra quiet front pipe, then the stock front pipe. It was LOUD!!! I mean ear bleeding, heart stopping loud. With a decibel meter app on my iphone6 it was at 118 db measured about 30' at a 45 degree angle. You will be highly discouraged if stupid loud is a problem for you. It made me very sad, as I loved the Corsa. But as someone else already stated, it is highly engineered to work well with stock header, over pipe and front pipe. It does not eliminate drone or anything with a cat less header. It doesn't really muffle anything at all with a cat less header. I ran the exhaust around the block with the catback removed- right out of the front pipe, and my family all said it sounded about the same as with the Corsa installed. I switched to an Invidia q300 and am very, very happy again. Keep the header stock with the Corsa, or sell it for money to buy something else. That is my advice, take it or leave it.

I think it was this one that I heard in person at our local meet back during the summer.

It sounded great, but changed how the Corsa sounded with stock everything else. Definitely much louder!

Suffice to say, I won't be changing anything out.

Yeah, it's well beyond what I would consider a tolerable volume for my purposes, but that's part of getting catless headers. Don't underestimate how much volume changes with just a header swap!
