FS: 2013 FR-S

I'm going to be going to do my Master's degree in Australia this September and need to sell my 2013 Scion FR-S. low km's, TRD exhaust, asking $25000. Winnipeg, MB

A $1,500 discount for an almost 3 year old car. What a steal! Hopefully your masters isn't in economics.

In manitoba its a bigger discount once you add the amount of tax payable on a new car(both PST & GST). It has a TRD exhaust, and the initial price listed is part of selling a used car. i list high, buyer offers low and eventually we meet in the middle; and based on the card current value with how few km's that are on the odometer, it's a very fair starting price

Lol for that price, I'd just buy a brand new 2016 that has a sticker price of just over $25,000

Edit: TRD exhaust does not raise the value of the car. All the power to you in finding a buyer, but that asking price will scare a lot of people away. And is it a manual? How many kilometres? What colour? What condition is it in? Any warranty left? What does it need to be registered? I feel like you aren't very serious about trying to sell this car

This is why I gave up trying to buy used. I looked and looked and everyone wants huge dollars even in Ontario. I'd rather go to a dealership, pay up to $4,000 more, get 0.99% financing and get a new car than save a few thousand, get terrible bank interest rate, and have a car that is used. I'm sorry but to me a 2013 FRS with low km isn't "almost new". I mean no disrespect to the original poster, I'm simply sharing my perspective as a person who spent the last few months trying to buy a used FRS and gave up to buy new. I thought by now most people would be asking 19,000-20,000 for 2013 FRS.

Good luck with sale, have fun down under.

I feel sympathetic to MB consumers. We only have to pay one tax here, HST. So there's no tax payable on used car transactions there? Taking a 5 to 7% depreciation for 3 years seems reasonable. LOL

What finance rate is OP offering?

The lowest bank rate will be 3.99% for a secure LOC.

Id pay $1500 more plus frt and pdi and get a new one, with a lower interest rate too.

So what is the motivator to buy OP's car? Oh right, low mileage :) Let's see how many buyers call you from Auto Trader.

I think OP is trying to sell the car to break even on it.

Cars (at least the twins) aren't the investment to do that on. If he wanted to break even, he should have bought an SL300 50 years ago and sold it today.

Agreed

Point being nobody is going to buy your car for basically current new pricing. Put in the high "teens" and you will sell it.

tslyw 05-02-2015 01:38 AM

that's pretty much it, i'm trying to lose as little money on it as i can. I need money for school

Aaron.H 05-02-2015 01:52 AM

Might have tough time here selling here (MB) at that price and slimmer market too. As well with 15's going for just over 1,500 more new. You might be able to get in 22-23 k range. My 2 cents.
