ATTS Lapping day #1 - May 23rd - Presented by SPDA

Spots go on sale immediately for the ATTS Series / Beginner Friendly Track Day brought to you by SPDA-Online.

Experience the Driver Development Track at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport). This is a challenging 2.8Km track, redesigned and rebuilt a year ago. To make this day extra special, we're providing coaching for newcomers to motorsports. Nope, this is not a racing event, but a fun day to spend with friends in a low key lapping event where you can safely enjoy the limits of your vehicles.

ATTS Lapping day #2: TBD

There will be 4 Run groups, broken out by Skill Level:

Registered and payment sent, thanks! Any recommendations for a cheap helmet?

drewbot 04-30-2015 05:26 PM

Just paid :)

Also, the new PayPal website is sorta confusing, so I didn't put a title of ATTS May 23 in the subject line

Hopefully Mr./Mrs. Treasurer won't have a hard time figuring it out......

wparsons 04-30-2015 05:39 PM

JRP has a good selection of helmets. You can find cheaper online from the US, but you can't try them on first. I paid about $300 for my HJC AR10 II, prices might be a bit different now that the dollar has tanked :(

Drew, it should be pretty obvious by the price what you're sending money for.

BatStig 04-30-2015 05:42 PM

How many cars per group?

wparsons 04-30-2015 05:49 PM

55 spots + volunteers/coaches. Should be 20ish cars per group.

sergiomordo 04-30-2015 05:50 PM

I just signed up as well. And also forgot to put title ATTS May 23rd, i guess i was too excited. 185 for students of driving clinic is an amazing deal, thanks a lot guys and see you at the track

drewbot 04-30-2015 06:47 PM

Yupp, Trevor got it.

Also, @bottle I got an HJC CL-16, which is half the price but if you do step up to more serious lapping, the rating won't cover other tracks

Dango1 04-30-2015 08:11 PM

Woohoo! I'm registered and can't wait! See you guys at the track!

Sigsegv 04-30-2015 08:13 PM

I'm registered, just waiting for confirmation. Looks like FT86 will be dominant again at this event!

wparsons 05-01-2015 12:13 AM

We're taking over!

Just a heads up, beginner spots are almost all gone. Sign up fast if you're hoping to get one!

wparsons 05-01-2015 12:14 AM

Not sure why I can't edit the original post, but here's a poster for interest!

Really great to see so many 86's out for the Advanced Drivers Clinic, and should be another great turnout for the ATTS lapping day too! Right now I'm double booked for that weekend, but I'm hoping I can shift it around and come out to the track with you guys.

I recognize a few of you already that have signed up for a SPDA membership, I processed a big batch of memberships this evening.

sergiomordo 05-01-2015 12:21 AM

I was in a rush when i signed up so did not fill experience or car model etc. Should i contact anyone? I prefer to be in beginner group as only experience i have was the advaced driver clinic
