port installed spring and roll bar for BRZ

So the SCCA has approved, for the FRS, the port installed spring and sway bar option. the Toyota part #'s are Spring PTR07-18130 and TRD Sway Bar Kit P/N PTR11-18130. These parts are "legal" for CS in Auto cross.

Does anyone know if there's a similar port installed option for the BRZ? I looked and can't find anything. I'm hoping the collective can come up with something, cuz i can't afford to switch brands right now.

There is not. The BRZ will likely get left out.

Petition the SCCA.

Or petition Subaru.

Both pointless.

Sell the BRZ and buy the FRS.

Or start modding for STX, CSP or SM class.

I would imagine if the TRD springs are legal, a case could be made that the STI pink springs should be legal. Not sure how receptive the SCCA would be though.

I think a better case could be made to make the Eibach prokit legal since the TRD springs are just a red prokit.

Really the petition would be to install the TRD kit on the BRZ, they are the same cars mechanically. However there isn't really a precedence for it, and I give it about a .00001% chance of happening. If you want to use the parts in CS, you will probably need to get a FR-S.

I remember dealing with the same issues with a first gen Rx7, just for small variences between years & model differences in the front facia.

another option would be for you to rebadge the car entirely to a FRS, and swap the front end.

Cheaper than swapping cars. Just don't let anyone see your VIN plate.

Or just tell them it's actually an FRS with a BRZ front end swap :D

Has that been proven or just a guess...'Cause nobody seems to have any hard data on the spring rates...
