Signed up as well. I'm assuming cones in the Lansdowne parking lot similar to a dumbed down version of auto-x.

I just got back from Vacation and saw this email this morning. I tried to sign up but its full already.

As Mr.Jay said, does anyone know if we can run our own cars? I'd love to thrash my FR-S a bit.

there are plenty of auto-cross clubs in your area, less hassle, more fun. entry is cheap and all cars are welcome

your only requirement will be to own a helmet

I'm already aware of the clubs yeah. But right now one of the biggest VCMC members is saying I will not be allowed to take part because the tires will be too loud.

So yeah, I think the local clubs are out until the tires are replaced. That's what Rich is telling me anyway. Hence the reason why I want start at smaller event.

Plus I'm still in the break in period! I kinda forgot about that for a sec.

that's the most bullshit thing i've ever heard

i'll try to find out some alternatives for you.

EDIT:

Send an email to anyone on this list, i don't see a Rich on the list of Exec's so i say you get the answer from the horses mouth. I have never heard of a car being cut from autocross (in canada anyway) for having loud tires. Cars with testpipes, maybe, but not tires.

or try another club?
