I HATE @$$Holes!

Just have to get this off my chest since no one else around me seems to care... I drove home this afternoon and got out to walk around the car just to find some A-HOLE scratched something ALL along the side of my passenger side of the car. On a closer look it appears to have been something plastic or rubber that did not appear to cause any physical damage but either way... I hope that there is a place in HELL reserved for idiots like that!

People are cruel. I'm sorry this happened. :( Hopefully insurance will cover this no problem. Do you have a pic of the scratch?

Try some Meguiar's Scratch-X, I've had good luck cleaning up surface scuffs and scratches with it.

Otherwise hit it with Ultimate Compound then Megs 205. Hopefully that will take care of it man :(

Well I've been able to just "rub" the scratch mark off when I first looked at it. I'm going to rinse the car off and see if I can't just take it off when cleaning. It doesn't appear to have literally scratched the paint from what I can tell... Either way I'm still pissed!!!! I'll update this post a little later after I can try cleaning it. I think the car will be fine... You'll see a rant if not!

I don't have a pic, but I'll try to get one if there is physical damage to the paint. I got the protection from my dealer for scratches and dents so I should be covered... Still pissed though...:mad0260:

It's a car that catches a lot of attention and unfortunately some of that is unwanted....I am always a little paranoid parking here in the city and try to find a "safe" spot away from passing pedestrians and parking cars. BTW, I see you're from Chattanooga; nice to see other Tennesseans here...got mine in Knoxville. /cheers

No matter how easy it comes off, its still stupid for someone to do. I'd be pissed as well. I grew up on hard work and sweat. everything I own I worked hard for. I respect what I have. Its sad others were raised differently.

If I know I gotta go park somewhere crowded, I take another vehicle... people's lack of respect needs to be corrected with a beating.

Get scratch and dent warranty protection. This car needs it, being such an attraction.

Some people just don't respect others property...scratch that, a lot of people...

Hope everything is OK with the paint though!

That's a real bummer about the scratch. Remember, this world is full of hatin' haters. Try to park in a location that does not bring too much attention to yourself.

It happens, I had some a hole back into and drive off from my new car a week after I bought it. Messed up the hood, grill, and front bumper. Love taking a car with 1000 miles into the body shop.

wallace03 06-15-2012 12:36 AM

what do you guys suggest. parking far away from other cars and risk being an open target, or find two decent vehicles to hide between?
