Places to finance wheels?
I have enough to get a set, I just rather not drop so much money at once, :(
Anyone know places that do financing over 12 months? WheelsPlusUSA in Downh does, but their explanation of it is confusing. They claim no interest, but their site says if your purchase is 1000 it's $77 bi-weekly for 12 months.. Which is almost $2000... |

credit cards?

PayPal.. Thought abut it, but only 6 months no interest :/. I'll probably end up doing that if all else fails/no other options.

Audio city USA in city of industry carries replica wheels, they carry ZEDD, ESM, STR and I think XXR, if you want real wheels then just pay it off with credit card and pay it monthly.

Save until amount needed is in hand. (edit: oops, you have enough)
low/zero interest rate credit card? Lot of cards w/ benefits worth having as well so that could also be a plus. |
|
if you really don't want to pay interest, just save up enough + some reserve for daily life and put it down. or use paypal bill me later. pay it off within 6 months though since it's 20% APR after that

rent a wheel.
cash advance. credit cards with 0% apr for one year. borrow from a friend. what wheels/tires are you looking at? |

I'm thinking I might just end up going with PayPal, but sucks it's a hard pull with no reporting afterwards so no pros and cons to credit depending on payments haha. |
any reason why you're not looking to go w/ a cc?
chase freedom has no annual fee, current deal includes $100 back if you spend $500 w/in the first 3 months (which will be done immediately upon wheel purchase), AND it's 0% apr for the first 15 months... after that, it is a great card to have w/ rotating quarterly 5% cash back rewards. if you already have a freedom card, discover it card has 0% apr for 6 months but you also get rotating quarterly 5% cash back rewards. you also get a free fico score on your monthly statement. also no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee so if you want to buy some parts from japanparts (or go traveling) you won't get hit w/ a fee. lots of other good cards out there as well. |
DSG Peformance accepts financing through Affirm (up to 12 months).

Questions: 1) what is your credit score? 2) what guarantees (other than personal) do you give that will guarantee repayment? 3) what is stopping you from saving up money over 12 months? 4) do you want zero % interest on your mortgage too? -alex |
Paypal gives you 0% for 12 months if you spend a certain amount

I used it for my S/C. As long as you pay it off before the 12 months is over you don't pay interest. I used the offer on eBay from a dealer that works with Sprintex out of Oklahoma. Like I've said though, it's only valid if you spend a certain amount, wheels alone might not be enough.

Oooh, found 18 months, not 12 but still good. Only problem is its for 1199 or more and it says multiple smaller transactions cannot be combined. Wonder if that means 900$ wheels and 300$ tires from eBay wouldn't work... |

I'd try to hold off on rent a wheel places. These places are just like cash loan advances, they charge you a bad interest rate and in the end you pay double for the wheels. I'd save as much as you can then if you HAVE to, put it on a low interest card, and pay it off as soon as possible NOT minimum payments. I made that mistake when I was younger, and am still trying to get rid of all the cards.

I didn’t read all the responses however financing wheels is just not a good idea imo. Wait until you can comfortably afford them.

i'm not a financial advisor but if you cant pay off wheels in 6 months, you shouldn't be buying it |

Honestly, if you can't afford wheels upfront you shouldn't be buying them at all. They're not a necessity. Unless someone gets some crazy offer of no interest or a decent cash back reward, If you can't afford to pay it in full at time of purchase, you can't afford it. And before some smart-alex makes a remark about financing a house, or CC's in general, those are different circumstances. Those TE37s may look nice, but having the ability to make purchases without having to think about that $50 wheel payment every month is even better. |
Of all threads to revive. Come on man

Open up a credit card. lots of companies offering 15 months no interest and give you a cash incentive as well for spending x amount. but i advise against financing wheels.

even if he did finance them, the car and wheels are now paid off
