BC BR coilovers, how low?
 

Hi all, just after some quick advice about how low these go? I can get hold of a set silly cheap and wondered if I could tuck the top of the tyre on 18x8 et33 wheels? Didn't fancy the extreme drop coilovers but I might depending on your answer about the above.

yes you will be able to tuck that fitment in there with like a 225 nankang or whatever the popular tire of stance choice is. might want to roll fenders. you will most likely rub on bumps and your entire suspension geometry will be 100% out of whack.

And the trolls are already arriving... *sigh* just ignore them OP, this thread will get a lot of heat because "stance is dumb" and "lowering your car makes it trash rice"

I don't have any experience with BC but I've heard of questionable quality. As far as how low... if you can get extreme low, do it since you can always raise it up. I run Stance(the brand) coils at full drop and I tuck lightly stretched 225/45/18s about 3/4 inch. Be aware at that fitment and drop you may rub. When you hit a big bump you will rub your liner. Also you'll want fully adjustable arms in the back or you won't get your alignment right. My trailing arms are NOT adjustable and my caster is way off(space between front of fender and tire is not the same as rear of same fender). I don't have an exact drop distance for you(and you won't find someone who will give you an answer) but that's the info I have. If you want to know more or get a pic of my setup PM me

Thanks Ashikabi I will bare that in mind. I will be upgrading the coilovers later down the line, just want to get it sitting right for now and easily done when you get parts at trade.

For legit stance you either hafta be on air or do something I don't know about cuz the only way I know to drop more is pull the lock nut things out of my coils. I guess you can get custom short springs maybe. I have 4 inches ground clearance. But if you don't want moar lows then don't worry about it. I'd get the BCs if they are cheap

If this ^ is what you are looking for BC will get you there with room to spare I'm sure. BC and Stance are the only low low coils I've heard of and I looked quite a bit before I got mine

Are you saying with the normal BC's I should get this, rather than the extreme lows.

Pretty sure they will. If you have a choice I'd get the extreme lows, you can always run them at their longer side

If that twin is on 18s then I'm probably an inch lower at least. And the extreme lows should get a little lower than my Stance coils since the springs are specially made super short

pretty sure the only difference between BC and BC extreme low is the size of the spring is a little shorter. with normal BC's and removing 2 of the 3 collars you can get way lower than those pics, with extreme lows and removing collars you can go probably an inch lower than normal BC's i believe.

But tucking tire is doable with either set without removing any collars anyways

the picture of my brz is before i aligned it the first time. was letting my Kw's settle here, as you can see because the rear camber is jacked up.

the bc exteme low will get you much lower than that, and so will normal BC's. i would advise against taiwanese suspension but thats for another discussion.

being that low, your rear camber will be out of whack, might want consider some LCA.

unless he wants a few degrees of camber then he's fine the way it is
