NJ state paying for damage?
does anyone have any experience with getting NJ to pay for damage done to your car, either Body or wheel/rims suspension,
recently i was driving at night and hit a small pole that was laying in the road way, that must have been left over from a recent construction site, i filed a police report with the town i was in, the officer was telling me if the damage exceeds $500 that the state will step in a pay for the damage, went to a local friends body shop and he filled out an Honest Quote and it ended up being $930 yea i know, i should have been paying more attention, i honestly did not see this thing in the road, was about 2 ft long, was painted black. just want to see what peoples experiences were with a situation similar to this how long did it take? were they fighting with you about it? did they pay full? pay partial? not doing anything at all? Thanks! |

the door isnt the worst part of it the scratch/dent on the rear panel before the wheel is the worse part http://i802.photobucket.com/albums/y...psn6tlig18.jpg |

im expected it to take some time, i might just bight the bullet and just go straight through insurance, $500 loss, but it will get done in a proper time line i have no patience |
God, I wish I had my car back already...good luck with your repair. Hope to see you soon for a Bear Mountain run!
