Question about wheel/tire fittment
So im new to the mod scene. Just got my Scion Frs. Im going to be lowering the car on coilovers and getting new wheels and tires. The wheels are 18x9.5 +40 Gram Light 57Xtreme. Anybody know what size tire I should run in oder to make these fit in the front and rear? Im sure ill need some negative camber but just want to make sure I buy the right stuff!

225/35

225 in the rear as well? Just curious but wont 225 be quite a stretch on those wheels or not a big deal?

I would say go for 245 for 9.5" wheels. 9.5" is 241mm so 245 would be a good fit. you will most likely need to roll your fenders too. I'm not a fan of stretched tires and rather like the meaty look

I haven't ran 18" wheels so I don't know. it will depend on how thick your side wall is on your tires and on how low you go. check the wheel fitment sticky in this subforum to find others who have logged their experiences with the same wheel size as yours.

I think I responded to your post on my wheel thread , but yeah it really depend on what are you aiming for . If you're into stretching and cambers, 215/40 can be used too ..I'm using 225/40 on my 9.5" wheels with a +25 offset.
If you search on the wheel directory , with your similar specs wheels , ppl use 255/35 or 265/35s which is a great setup if you're into more grippy setup . |
