BeSpoke, what all can it do?

I got the BeSpoke system on my FR-S mostly because it came with the car and I wanted the car right then and there. I later justified it to myself as, "well, that's one less thing I'll have to replace with aftermarket, gives a little more resale, whatever." I mostly use it for Pandora/Bluetooth and the HD Radio is a nice little extra. I have no problems with it as far as that goes.

However, using an iPhone I noticed there's a whole BeSpoke app and whatnot. I had the AppRadio on my Si right before I traded it in, and it had some nice things but was kind of annoying to use (required lots of distracting interaction).

Does the BeSpoke system offer navigation? I typically use Waze, and it doesn't have a problem sending the audio through BT while Pandora is going, so I don't have much complaint there. It would be nice if I could see the map screen while I was navigating though, sometimes unknown areas can be a little tricky.

Any BeSpoke experts here? I haven't had time to really try and fiddle with it, and this is my first Scion.

I've fiddled with it a bunch on mine.

It does not have normal navigation as such. (it doesnt let you type in an address) It will let you click a spot on a map, or select a business listed on Yelp or a friend that is in the area and will give you a direction list to them, but you have to follow the directions yourself and press the speaker button manually on the screen to have it read you each of the individual directions. To be honest, I just use my Garman.

The find a friend option is pretty cool once you get it working - it shows you friends in the area that have the bespoke app loaded and integrated with their facebook or Twitter. You can also tweet to friends or post facebook status updates through it. It also has a scion internet radio channel on there that has decent music sometimes.

The bespoke part seems like a gimmic, but the touch screen is nice and all the rest of it works very well.

Ah thanks for the info! For navigation I'll just stick with Waze. The problem is I haven't found a good mounting point for the phone yet! I like it easily accessible while driving but not in the way of my view (quite the conundrum).

As a 'computer guy', it's more or less the level of responsiveness and ease-to-use that matters to me. I don't need overly complex features. I just hate when a user-interface is unresponsive or laggy feeling.. or just hard to navigate. Seems they didn't do any of this with the BeSpoke system, so I am pleased.

The bluetooth integration is easy, I like being able to get into the car and hit Pandora on my phone, done. It syncs back up and plays with very little interaction required on my part, which is wonderful. Pioneer's AppRadio required too much prep time and hands-on, along with all the nags and warnings, glad that's not here.

While it sounds just fine to me, I am wondering if the BeSpoke system supports APT-X. I don't think the iPhone 4S does but I believe the new iPad does (I'll have to test!). I'm running iOS 6 beta, and it still works fine.. so that's a plus too!
