Supercharged fr-s vs mustang

Supercharged fr-s with upgraded tires vs stock mustang and mustang GT on a tight track, and on a drag strip?

Who wins and by how many seconds??

Bobblehead 04-23-2015 11:28 PM

FRS depending on track, Mustang on drag.

FR-S by 30 seconds.

these questions are so stupid....what supercharger? what belt? what tires? who is driving? what year mustang? what gas? how much gas? how much does the driver weigh? ect.. Way too many variables and not enough information

DarkSunrise 04-24-2015 10:01 AM

The answer is 42 seconds obviously. But if one of the FR-S's rear tires is over-inflated by 1.5 psi, it will spin out and the Mustang will win. Book it.

Obviously it depends on which video game you are playing.

Are we talking Forza and if so, which one?

Or are we talking Gran Turismo?

Eh the only reason it was even close is because the BRZ driver was a MUCH better driver than the Mustang driver.
Even with the huge disparity between drivers the BRZ still did not really stand a chance.

Before that video creates any confusion, that BRZ doesn't have a supercharger. Nor is that a Mustang GT. RA isn't a tight track either. :)

That's a NA BRZ on e85 versus a Boss 302 LS. Agree on the better driver in the BRZ though.

My reason for posting was if the BRZ had a supercharger I dont think it would have been close at all. He wouldn't have lost so much of the lead in the straights if he had more power.

Also correct me if im wrong the 302>GT?

You still have to extrapolate quite a bit to get there though.

- How much speed would the BRZ have gained on the straights with a SC?
- How much faster would the Boss 302 LS have been with a better driver?
- How much faster is the Boss 302 LS vs. a regular GT?
- How do you translate times from RA to a tighter track?

And then there are a few practical questions to ask, such as:

- Would the BRZ's brakes have held up?
- Would the BRZ have had sufficient cooling?

It's a fun video (and the sound of that BRZ is ), but didn't want anyone to think that was actually a supercharged BRZ vs. Mustang GT.
