Having some fun in South Dakota (video)

So, on my 7 day trip from FL to WA, my codriver wanted to go to Mt Rushmore, so we put it in our trip plans. We did a drive through the Black Hills (in the moving truck, with the BRZ in tow) and headed toward the monument. We found a place to park down the way from mt rushmore, and ran into a local who gave me a map and directions to what he described as "the most fun road you're gonna find withing 1000 miles" or something like that. Super friendly guy.

Anyway, after touring all the sights, we slapped the GoPro on the quarter window of Yeti, found HWY 16A, and went to work. having never driven the road, it definitely took it slow, but it was still a great ride. If you're ever in the area, you must look up 16A and take a drive. on the ride "back down", every single track tunnel perfectly frames mt rushmore.

after the ascent, we hit the downhill, and the stock brakes got spongy. That's when i shut the gopro off.

if you have 8 mins to spare, here it is.

Love those big sweeping left and right hand circle turns that lead up to the old brown overpass bridges. Awesome.
