1. The dealer who did the 2nd transmission swap was proactive and handled it promptly and on their own accord. 10,000% better than the dealer (and jackass SOA regional/district manager) who fought me tooth and nail on my 1st transmission swap. I wasn't going to snark about $50 worth of 3rd-party pieces. Considering they didn't say a single word about the visible (bushing, trans mount) mods, and they obviously couldn't have known about the invisible (mtec springs, fluid), they didn't bat an eyelash at swapping the whole assembly (the 2nd time, not the first, when I had ZERO mods).
2. If I cared about putting any of those things back on, I might have asked for them back. However, I never felt that any of them cured any of the problems of the 6MT. The Perrin trans mount support only succeeded in making the transmission whine louder and made low-speed clutch engagement quite a bit more severe feeling. The MTEC springs felt different, yes, but they didn't make shifting any more "positive" feeling as I'd seen people post reports of.
I'll change the fluid, but for now, with about 2,000 miles or so on trans #3, the stock fluid is actually doing better than the redline was doing for me on #2. I'll give it a few more miles for break in, and I'll change it out for something decent but I won't be getting silly with "the perfect fluid!" nor will I bother with mount supports, rear bushings, springs, etc. For those that had a positive experience with those products, that's cool and I'm glad they helped your situation; for me, they were snake oil.
So far transmission #3 shifts the best out of the 3 I've had, I just hope it holds up. I had to valet the other night though (no choice) and I warned the guy of 2nd gear, yet I still heard him grind it from around the corner.
