engine oil level

so i have read the other oil level threads and people say to check the level in the cold

i changed my oil yesterday, so this morning before starting the car i checked it and it was about in the middle of the 2 holes.
about 2 hours after getting to work i checked again before going to lunch and it was at the top hole.

just wondering if you read high after driving?

reading the oil level is pretty hard on the dip stick. I don't get a clear cut line on my stick so I just see where the lowest point is. sometimes it's extremely slanted or just a 2mm spike up.
