looking much better the 2nd time!
|
Honestly i didn't think it looked all that bad to begin with. It looked a little flat but considering price and circumstances that's not too bad. Second time looks way better!
|
Not bad for the second attempt! Buying authentic parts and getting it installed/painted professionally is not cheap so with me being a cheap bastard and hands-on, I dig the creative/DIY/outside-the-box thinking!
I was thinking about taking the same path as you when I was brainstorming ideas on how to get a cheap trd rear lip frm eBay. My other idea was to learn how to vinyl wrap it gloss black or fake cf. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk |
Vinyl wrap is probably the easiest and most economical route of you just want to make it black. For paint, sanding and prepping and re doing it a few times might have taken over 12 hours in total. Not to mention my garage is totally dusted in red and it hasn't totally dried yet.
Only if I could have found a matching firestorm red vinyl. It would have only taken 30 minutes. |
