Don't worry, I'm not jelly. It definitely looks better after you redid it. Did you use the right paint this time too? It looks like a different shade in the last picture you posted.

Honestly i didn't think it looked all that bad to begin with. It looked a little flat but considering price and circumstances that's not too bad. Second time looks way better!

Not bad for the second attempt! Buying authentic parts and getting it installed/painted professionally is not cheap so with me being a cheap bastard and hands-on, I dig the creative/DIY/outside-the-box thinking!

I was thinking about taking the same path as you when I was brainstorming ideas on how to get a cheap trd rear lip frm eBay. My other idea was to learn how to vinyl wrap it gloss black or fake cf.

Vinyl wrap is probably the easiest and most economical route of you just want to make it black. For paint, sanding and prepping and re doing it a few times might have taken over 12 hours in total. Not to mention my garage is totally dusted in red and it hasn't totally dried yet.

Only if I could have found a matching firestorm red vinyl. It would have only taken 30 minutes.

To be fair, I'm sure it's a knockoff spoiler. No one in their right mind would ruin an oem piece like that.
