Bought my P&L EL Headers!

Hey guys,

I was asking questions ~7-8 months ago about headers and ceramic vs. bear coating, etc. etc. I actually ended up ordering a set, but had to cancel the order due to money issues.

Anywho, I just got mine!... Again! I went with the P&L Even Length Catted Headers in Black Ceramic.

I've read up on it, but as far as 1(easiest)-10(hardest) goes, how difficult is installation? I'll have a second pair of hands with me. I did my cat-back exhaust myself. I'd give that a 5/10 difficulty.

Also, has there been any problems lately with the Vishnu OpenFlash Tablet? I bought mine last summer, and I have no complaints thus far. I'm going to be uploading a new map once I get the headers installed.

Thanks!

* I will be sure to update this post once installation is under way.

I also got the P&L EL headers, and i love them so much! the install isnt too hard. helps to have an extra set of hands. Make sure you dont touch the ceramic coat with anything greasy or oil before you heat cycle it.

when you install the header, loosen all the exhaust bolts back to the spring bolts on the midpipe, and then when you have the header in, snug up the header, and then tighten from the back of the car by the spring bolts back up to the front. otherwise it's a pretty easy install! enjoy!

Great, thanks Connor. I sent you a PM asking for a little more details, but how do you like the sound of your car now? I have a cat-back Perrin exhaust. I like the sound of it now, and I feel like the UEL would make it feel a bit obnoxious, but I wouldn't mind a bit more of a deep rumble.

Have some wobbly extension things on hand, you can get a duralast set at autozone for 15 bucks, they make life much easier. Hang gaskets on the bolts, lineup the holes with bolts and just jam it in (hehe), I used a rubber mallet, my turbo manifold from them was a tight fit as its supposed to be, but not a problem!

Edit:
Here are those wobblys,

Oh an O2 sensor wrench will also make life easier. Autozone loans them for free.

I'm in love with the sound, it is loud but it's what I wanted. A slight bit of raspiness but not overbearing, it sounds amazing to me.

I'm just running the P&L header with stock overpipe/frontpipe/midpipe, and a berk dual muffler delete
