Scheduled maintenance in San Diego

I need to go in for my first scheduled maintenance in a couple weeks. Anyone have any good or bad experiences for service from Subaru dealers in San Diego?

Go to Toyota of San Diego on Mission Gorge. People there know there stuff and I didn't have a single issue.

Interesting. I have 2 years complementary maintenance from Subaru, will Toyota do the work for free?

avoid Kearny Mesa Subaru. They aren't horrible, but they really don't give a crap about the cars someing in. Just a heads up.

Ugh, I've been going here for the convenience. I live very close. No problems yet but have only gotten oil changes here. Don't really have the space to do it myself right now.

I won't worry about it too much, but they just aren't much help when you need it. We've been complaining about a TSB item on our outback since we bought it. It's a periodic squeaking belt under normal driving conditions. They want to hear the noise (which I get), but they won't go for a drive with me and they wanted to keep it all day one time. Well we let them, and they tightened a couple exahust manafold shield bolts. AS WE WERE DRIVING OUT OF THE PARKING LOT, it started to squeak again. They asked us to leave it with them overnight so they could hear it. My wife works at 7am in Temecula, so that was impossible.

We are at 26k miles now, and I was fed up with dealing with them, so I bought the $40 belt and just did it myself in 5 minutes (they told me it would be an all day thing because they had to take it to a different department since we were gettin our oil changed). Just tired of dealing with the dealer BS.

Between the belt, missing tire valve covers, grease/oil on our interior, and talking to my wife like she is a moron, I just haven't had the best experiences

John has always been great. I would ask for him if you have an option.
