Fuel choice...

Hi everyone. I'm a new 2013 FRS owner and I was hoping to get some opinions on what fuel I should choose. In my area there are pretty much two options; 91 octane no-ethanol or 93 octane 10% ethanol. Which would you suggest? Thank you for any replies.

I'd go with the 93 whenever possible

Oh, I reckon for average driving, just pull into any name brand station and punch the button for the most expensive gasoline they offer .....;)

As a DD with no real concern for top performance I generally go with 91. Not because it is cheaper but simply because it is handy for me. As a side effect I rarely have crickets unless I go with something with ethanol (could be coincidence though).

93 for the max powah!

91 E0 will get the crickets to shut up.

For me, it's a bit of a toss-up. The car seems to run a bit better on the 94 E10 that we have here, but the crickets get a little drunk and start singin'. I get no crickets with the 91 E0. I typically run the 94 and deal with the crickets.

E10% is harmless? I have seen some gas station with 93 oct E10% with same price
of 91 oct, worh it or nvm?

You will get a minor performance boost from the 93 and yes the 10% is harmless (except some say it is a part of the cricket problem).

Me too. Wasn't worth the trouble of scheduling around the one gas station in my town that carries it. I've long since made my peace with the crickets.

make sure you find the busiest gas station intown for ur gas, car is picky about gas is fresh or not.

I've been running 91 since I bought her and the only time I hear crickets is by the lake, with the window down.

In Atlanta we have no choice other than 93 for premium so that's what I use. It's only 87,89,93 here.
