2015 Suspension Differences (BRZ and FR-S)

Is it true that the 2015 BRZ and 2015 FR-S now have the same suspension? I've found threads on how they've changed. I have not been able to find particular details on the specifications.

I don't think anyone has 100% confirmed, but the consensus is that both cars got new shocks but the spring rates are unchanged.

What shocks did they switch to? I think the old ones were made by Showa.

The rumors were that they were switched with Sachs dampers. Although i havent heard anything to either prove or deny that.

Are you able to confirm that the spring rates have remained unchanged?

Not to be an ass, but did you read the post you quoted? That has your answer already.

You could try calling Subaru to see what part numbers are on 2014 and 2015 springs. If they changed them, there will be a new part number.

Based on his profile, he has a 2015 BRZ (it shows up right under his avatar).

Also, jumping straight to coilovers without reasoning is terrible advice. Coilovers aren't automatically better, and if you don't know what you're doing with adjustments you can make the car handle much worse than stock (even with high quality coilovers).

This. Most cheap coilovers are just that, and ride like garbage. But if you just want to dump your car and become part of the stance crowd they're fine...

My car rides quite nice for being so light, doubt I'd mess with it unless I went to $2K+ coilovers or the tS setup.

I read your post. I cannot assume what you said is correct without proof.

I would like to swap my factory springs with TRD lowering springs. I have one concern. The TRD lowering springs are described to work on the factory struts of the FR-S. I'm worried that there could be a compatability issue in regards to performance if installed on my BRZ. What do you think?

I think you are worrying to much. There isn't really much difference. Trd springs are really nothing special.

C'mon Takumi! a Tach doesn't give you hp!!

Almost every single part can be used interchangeably with these two cars, they are that alike.
