From the bottom of the pinch weld to the top of the shortest block is about 1.5" in the front of the car. So I'd say you could lower it about 1" with the BL-7000 and 1.5" with the BL-5000 since it's about 1/2" shorter.

Great! because i am going to drop about 1.2 inch all around.
I will update thread when i install it in Sep

You could always go lower and drive the car up on a 2x4 then slide the BL-7000/5000 in from the sides instead of driving over it and pulling it out.

Height of the unit

So those of you with the 5000slx, how has it been working out for you ? Also , how tall is the unit when fully collapsed ? My car is lowered and have sideskirts so I'd like to do a measurement before purchasing.

I have the 7000SLX and it's great. I wish I would have bought it a long time ago.

For lowered cars I just sandwiched two 12"x12" peices of 1/2" plywood (1"total height) and use those as a spacer for each tire. Then I slide in the Quickjack from outside the car. It still keep everything small and portable.

My 7000 is 3.5" and the 5000 is 3"collapsed respectively.

I was at about the minimum usable height with a 36mm drop for the 5000slx... Clearance + the required half inch on the lowest blocks. Works really well. I have to lift sideways when doing an alignment to fit between platforms, but its awesome to have.

Awesome. I figured using a jacking point anywhere along any part of the pinch weld wouldn't really be an issue.

it works because the weight is distributed along the whole rail. I would not jack at any point other than the 4 spots with a regular jack or jack stands.
