Ordering a car for delivery elsewhere?
 

So, I've always had this desire to do a somewhat long road trip, and buying a new car seems like a good time to consider it. The ideal scenario I had in mind was going to a local dealer, working everything out, and having my car shipped to a different location, then flying out and picking it up there.

I know dealers will work with each other to please customers, but is this a bit of a stretch? Or perfectly reasonable? Dependent on the dealer? (Should I post this in the California subforum?)

Or should I simply try to negotiate remotely with a dealer located at my desired destination?

I'm pretty certainly going to be shopping for one of the 86 twins, so I'll be dealing with Subaru or Scion dealers, if that matters.

BMW and Porsche does that with the euro delivery...

As long as u are paying for the shipping of the car, I don't see why its not possible. Or you could just buy from the states u want to go...
