Stolen

I just discovered my rear 5axis spoiler ripped off! :mad0260:
Literally ripped off the back of my trunk. Has this happened to anyone else?
I'm not sure if I will buy another because I don't want to go through the trouble and spend the money and get it stolen again...

The tape it on idea is simple to apply but is easily stolen. :bonk:

Now I need to remove the excess tape residue left on, any suggestions?

Goo gone for the residue.

Have you been telling people you just taped it on?

Seems likely the thief knew it wasn't bolted down.

lmao it prob blew off bro

This is why I prefer bolted on wings. >_<

Do you have pics of what is left? Are there scratches from a screwdriver/etc, to use as leverage? if so, then it was stolen. If there is not, it probably fell off.

I hope it wasn't stolen, because I was hoping to have a least a few years before people started stealing parts off these cars. Where was it parked? Or city? Bad area?

Wd-40 also works for the residue too, but just watch out for overspray and dont let it sit too long. I've had no problems with it. ymmv

First, give the trunk lid a quick wash to get any dirt off.

Then, get an eraser pad like this one:

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00488DDB8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Amazon.com: AES Industries 4" Smart Eraser Pad with Drill Adaptor Arbor: Home Improvement[/ame]

Attach that to a drill and use it to get the big pieces off.

Then, use 3M adhesive remover:
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BQYA7W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Amazon.com: 3M 03618 Adhesive Remover - 12 oz.: Automotive[/ame]
to get the remaining residue off. Use a clean microfiber towel to wipe the adhesive remover off.
