So this is the "WE"VE GOT 86 EVENT!" event? Is "EVENT" part of the title? Are the caps part of it? The exclamation point? Is it a reference to some hashtag thingy I'm not privy to?

I liked Mega Meet.

The name is "We've got 86 Event". I have made the suggestions we had and forwarded them to Toyota. Let's be positive and push forward. They are contributing alot of resources and working with me to make all parties happy.

After it's said and done, we are the ones that will make the event awesome, not the name. :-)

The East coast one is called 86 Expo, so NW 86 Expo would at least let them know we're having one. No one outside the fanboys like us know what 86 is. Too bad we can't pull off a name with FR-S / BRZ Expo or something, but that wouldn't sound cool.

well having worked in a restaurant and catering, (don't eat the clam chowder) we've got 86 event sounds like they either cancelled the the 86, the event or we've been banned.

personally, a name is just a name and it doesn't change that this will still be a great event.

Hey guys/gals! I appreciate the feedback about the naming of the event.

When I first began to look for an area to hold our event I researched and checked out several possibilities. Toyota of Olympia graciously accepted, and is going above and beyond to welcome us as well as provide events, prizes, and entertainment.

Is the name the greatest? possibly not, but are we going to let that hold us back from meeting other members of the 86 community and holding what is planned to be the biggest gathering of 86s in the PNW? Definitely not!

We will have fun guys/gals! Let's not be negative and get maximum participation! The name isn't whats going to make the event, but US as drivers and enthusiasts. All that is asked of you is to show up on time, have a positive attitude, and have FUN!

Also there is a some talk circulating on Facebook about pre-meet information and way things should be done. Let me re-assure everyone that all aspects of this meet have been covered and is taken care of. I have successfully organized/managed various events and assure you that you will be satisfied. However if you feel that something has been overlooked, please send me a pm and we can chat about it.

Lastly, I do not have a Facebook account and rely heavily on @Missy to pass on information and take care of the FB media.
